The BME Club was founded by a small group of committed people of various backgrounds in the spring of 2009.

The heart of the club is formed by the executive board, which connsists of people who are currently studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Bern or have already finished their studies. Based on their backgrounds and skills each member of the executive board contributes to the club, which lets it adapt well to the needs of the current club members.
